Today I brought Garrett and a friend home from school. While they were having a snack they started trying to sing the National Anthem with very little success. They are practicing it in their kindergarten class and they asked if I knew the song.
I told them the words they were missing but they didn't get much farther so I started to sing it for them.
Of course, since I am not an accomplished singer, I got a little silly in parts - to their delight.
After I was done singing Garrett looked at me and with all earnestness said, "That was great! I didn't even know you could sing opera style!"
