This kid is growing fast! "Momma, do you know what?" is his new favorite sentence. He is the apple of Nora's eye. He ate plain leaf lettuce today and said, "yum." He is still reading like a champ and didn't even blink at the word 'aquarium.' He has started trying to turn every little piece of trash or paper scrap he finds into something. The other night he found some pipe cleaners sent down from Monday and was immediately inspired.
He also has a necktie for more business like atire. 
Team Roughneck is back! Ian has a really nice team this year and two very thoughtful coaches. The U6 teams seem very evenly matched this year so the scores are typically low and there is a lot of back and forth play. Ian still runs two steps and then skips two steps which puts him off the ball (and balance) sometimes, but we are working on that. Just too much energy to move solely in one linear direction.
He would be a perfect pick for playing soccer on the moon.
Ian can pour on the speed for defense and has done a great job at running down breakaways or coming across to kick a ball out.
Maybe we have a little sweeper on our hands?
No big scoring runs like past years, but that hasn't slowed him down. His left foot is making an appearance at times and the kids have even started passing more in the last few games and practices which has been neat to watch develop, though there is still a bit of good 'ol bunching. His last game is this Saturday so.......
