Hooray!!!
Ian was excited to start soccer again this year, especially when he found out some good friends were on his team plus a new friend from his school class. He is on the Bouncers, which seems like we should either have large men in black suits with clipboards on both sides of the goal or kangaroos - not sure which. He made a good show his first two games doing some great dribbling up field and passing off for assists. The Bouncers look like they are going to have some fun this year and learn a lot!
Garrett is off and running with soccer too, sort of. He loves practice times, but was a bit wishy-washy come game time. The Indians are a cute little team of mostly 4 year olds and most played hard. Garrett did some good work for a while and then turned into a turtle on me; predictable for a first game. I am one of his coaches this year so I get the double challenge of encouraging my own child while coaching everyone else.
I certainly hope we can get him up for the challenge because Garrett has a great left foot!
Notice the black and orange uniforms.
They did not go unnoticed by our tiger loving Garrett - he was thrilled.
