Chris and I spent a fun night in Austin this weekend enjoying a food battle at The Mansion at Judge's Hill. Two friend chefs hosted a lighthearted competition as a fundraiser for the Sustainable Food Center in Austin. Independence Brewery supplied the beer with Broken Arrow and Diamond H supplying the game. Especially fun was that our friend and salesman, John, played the part of MC for the event.
Chef Snow won out and as agreed Chef Gelman will do a night of dish duty in the Driskoll kitchen.
It was a fun evening with some really amazing dishes, but the best part was that our Vandy friend, Sarah, her husband Kent and her brother and wife, were in town visiting family and came out to enjoy it with us.
