We have had two deer killed in our backyard over the past week - not the side yard, but the backyard. They have been young deer - probably spring babies - but still. Something is either trapping the deer in our yard or coming in to get them while they are sleeping. We have seen lots of tracks, but haven't been able to identify the culprit. Both deer have been killed overnight and have been munched on. We are keeping kids close and cats in at night until we know what is lurking. After the second deer, Chris borrowed a game camera from his dad. We have only gotten one shot on those so far...just a big tail. Chris thinks the tail belongs to a raccoon. We are hoping to get some definitive info soon. If you have any ideas let us know and I will keep you posted.
