We had a great time last weekend in Houston visiting friends. Chris was off on a pheasant hunt in North Texas with his dad so Elizabeth, the kids and I headed to Houston to see friends and have some fun. We started off at a neighborhood Christmas carnival with the Whiles Family. It was awesome - complete with snow! The boys had a great time sledding and playing in the snow mounds, visiting with Wilson and Dexter, running the bases on the baseball field, drinking hot cocoa and roasting smores. It was the perfect activity after a 4 hour car ride. The Huff's were generous enough to let us stay at their house so we headed there after the kids were tired out. The next day we were up at the Natural History Museum, lunch and the Childrens' Museum. The camera went awol for the rest of the weekend - but I don't think the kids were still enough to take pictures anyway. We visited with Carrie Ann, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Rob and had a sleepover with Bob...Ian was so excited. It was a fun little break and thankfully the kids did really, really well.
