Go Peanuts!!

Ian's soccer team this fall is called the Peanuts, but there is nothing small about them. They are 4-0 in the U5 league and have been winning by pretty significant margins. They have a really nice coach who is doing a good job getting the kids working on fundamentals. Thankfully, Ian has done so well so far - nothing like last season's mid-play melt downs/walk-offs. He is always ready to play and while he does still get tired and hot he keeps playing until the end. It probably helps that he is scoring a lot more. He has been scoring so much that his coach makes him play in the defensive half for some of the game and it is a riot to see him bringing the ball forward and then screech to a stop with arms swinging so he doesn't step over the line. All of the kids on the team are improving and having a good time. Ian is loving it and loves his new soccer shoes. We are hoping for continued fun and learning for the rest of the season. Go Peanuts!
