We planted our watermelons for this summer. Both boys helped dig up the soil a little and make the mounds for the seeds. We already have sprouts and are looking forward to more yummy watermelons and more watermelon aqua fresca this summer.
The Ropers finished off their season too. It was pretty 50/50, but everyone had a lot of fun and we saw some definite improvement in all the players. Ian had some issues with giving up if it didn't go his way, but we got through them. "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" is our motto right now. Instant sucess is what we expect...life lessons already - and we have to teach them!!! Coach Chris even got better and better! Ian does love his trophy though! Can't wait to see how this fall season goes.
