We headed down to Columbus for fun at COSI - the Center of Science and Industry. Everyone loved it. We spent hours in an adventure room where they found clues and deciphered codes to gain access into a secret room. The kids could have spent all day there with an entire second level to that exhibit but we headed out to all the different hands on exhibits throughout the building. Wind tunnels, space exploration, electricity, underwater ROVs, and lots more. Ian was second in the chain at the electromagnetic generator and to show the current they would have him fist bump the girl touching it. He had to do it a few times and each time he was a little slower to follow through. Some of their favorite exhibits were in the lobby. A laser harp (no strings) and a machine that would beat a drum to your heart beat. They would jump around and run in place and then see how fast they could get the drum to go.
After that fun we met my mom's cousin's son, Elliot, for dinner and let the kids play in these great outdoor fountains across the street. They loved it.
Next to the Columbus Zoo. So much fun and activity that I barely got any pictures. We were always moving to the next thing. There is a lot to do there too - sting rays, amusement park rides, gorillas. All fun.
It was still hard to leave but not as hard as sometimes in the past when we have only been there for a week or even a weekend. This felt ok. Plus there was so much waiting for us at home with soccer and school starting. Thanks Shelly and Dave for so much fun.
