Garrett's birthday came in installments this year.
We started out with a little party at our house with some good friends. The kids had a great time playing and it was nice to catch up with the parents. Grandmother and Grandpa had just arrived back from an RV trip so it was fun to hear about their adventures too.
This year Ian went shopping with his own money for Garrett and his present was a hit.
He knew exactly what Garrett wanted.
The tiger blanket from Grandmother and Grandpa and the roller skates from Shelly and Dave hit the top slots too.
Then we hosted a party at Up-N-Jacks for all of his friends. It was a party that proved the theory that a Garrett, Ian and Nora in motion stays in motion until strapped into car seats and seat belts. The kids were everywhere and had a great time racing around, sliding, chicken dancing, chasing and bouncing. Tiger cake was requested as usual with a zebra cake as back-up.
Gifts supported the Humane Society of Kerrville again this year and the face on the party helper when Garrett pulled dog toys and cat treats out of the first gift bag was priceless. The Humane Society was thrilled as always and Garrett and I had a great visit with all the cats and dogs. One of the dogs literally smiled at me so if anyone is looking for a dog, Charlie is one to check out.
