SOCCER!!!!

"That's my little boy."

That's right. Ian started his soccer career two Saturdays ago. His team is the Ropers (only in Texas) and he has a really great coach - Chris! They play four, 5 min quarters 3 v. 3 with mini goals and no goalies. Coaches are on the field coaching/refereeing with a 30 min practice time prior to the game. I think it is a really good way to get some fundamentals in without being overwhelming. Plus for most of the kids this is their first year playing any sport so they need it low-key. Technically we don't keep score but we are currently 1-1 and Ian has 3 goals to his name. He is having lots of fun and paces the sidelines wanting another turn.

Soccer updates will come. All other life is good - just busy. Posting time doesn't come easy these days. Baby #3 is kicking up a storm and will surely follow his/her brothers' soccer footsteps. Garrett is a riot and would love to be out on the field too. We are thankful for spring and the extra outdoor time it allows us. Our yard is finally all blooming and lovely. Happy Spring to you too.
