Goofballs started school today.
Ian is so excited to have Garrett at school with him.
They have actually discussed being at school with each other ever since Ian started kindergarten and left Garrett back at CDO.
Garrett starts at Ambleside this year in the combined 1st/2nd grade class with Mrs. Bell who was Ian's reading teacher last year. I was very pleased to hear she would be Garrett's teacher.
Ian was really excited to hear that he has the same teacher and kids since they combined 3rd and 4th this year and Mrs. Durham moved up with them. She was enthusiastic about it too commenting that she knew exactly where they left off and exactly what everyone could do so they could get straight to it....
and they did.
I helped in the office today and it was striking to hear how much teaching was happening in even the first few hours. They were very satisfied with their first day and excited about the things to come.
