Andrew Zimmern and the crew for his show, Bizarre Foods, on the Travel Channel came out to the Ranch to shoot footage for his show on Austin and the surrounding area. Chris and the Broken Arrow harvest crew showed Andrew around the ranch, got a deer and made lunch. Chef Ortiz from La Condessa in Austin came to help prepare the food and join in the fun. The food wasn't all that 'bizarre' to us, but there were some interesting preparations and of course some raw offerings that aren't on an everyday table.
Everyone had a really nice time and we had beautiful weather for the whole day. The kids came to watch and while moments went well, I am pretty sure that we are not a tv family.
